SOC Verification Engineer (Power Management)

ROLE:

This person will be part of the next-generation Server SoC Verification team. Pre-silicon Power-aware design verification (using UPF) of world-class server SOC hardware chips. Requires strong hands-on knowledge of all facets of the IC design process and a good understanding of Verilog/SV/UVM

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • General knowledge in ASIC design process, digital design, verification lifecycle, tools, and methodologies
  • Good understanding of UPF coding, analysis and associated low power verification techniques using VC-NLP
  • Capable to Catch LP bugs early and quickly with accurate simulation of designs using advanced low power techniques, including Power Gating and Retention
  • Ability to develop Infrastructure to model and correctly simulate Multi-Rail macros leading to increased bug detection for multi-voltage designs
  • Prior experience with on full-chip or sub-system verification is desired
  • Hands-on experience in Verilog, System Verilog, C, C++, and UVM
  • Knowledge in verification Methodologies like UVM is a plus
  • Good understanding of computer architecture and processor-based systems verification
  • Experience in verifying design at the system level, and Memory management system with Cache Coherency
  • Excellent debugging & investigative skills.
  • Able to prepare a comprehensive test plan based on the specification & interactions with Architecture & RTL teams
  • Knowledge of Constraint-Random, coverage-driven verification environments development in System Verilog / C ++ (drivers/monitors, constraint random tests, checkers and self-checking models and coverage models written in System Verilog-Cover group / SVA)
  • Knowledge of simulation tools and coverage database visualization tools
  • Good at UNIX and scripting programming skills (Perl, Python and/or TCL), Makefile, Revision Management
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with good interpersonal skills and a strong team player
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5+ years of SOC design and verification experience
  • Strong Verification experience with developing test bench components, test cases, assertions, functional & code coverage, regressions and debugging tests at IP or SOC level.
  • Experience in verification of Processor-based SOCs/Subsystems (x86/ARM/DSP) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Verilog, SV, UVM, OVM Verification & Functional Verification is a must
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced, pressure-filled environment.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering. Master preferred
